Step into the Wild...

Big Days Out! is a five-day, screen-free outdoor experience for children aged 8–12, designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and reconnect young people with the world beyond the city. Led by Mrs Milne from the Junior School and Mr O’Neil, an English and Philosophy Senior School teacher, this exciting week combines adventure, exploration, and thoughtful conversation in some of Scotland’s most beautiful settings. 

From beach-combing on the Isle of Bute and wildlife spotting on Arran to rewilding around Loch Lomond and discovering the rich culture and history of the Clyde Valley, each day offers a new opportunity to learn, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. With games, team challenges, simple conservation activities, mindful discussion, and plenty of fresh air, children will develop independence, teamwork, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world — all while having fun, making friends, and creating lasting memories.

Camp details:

• For ages 8-12 (P4-S1).
• Drop off and pick up will be at Kelvinside Academy.
• The daily itinerary will be confirmed nearer to the Camp, including what to bring.
• Arrival time back at Kelvinside Academy may vary but will be between 4-5pm. When the daily itinerary is released we will issue a specific pick up time for each day. If our adventurers arrive back early, our Camp Leaders will wait with your child at the school until the designated pick-up time. 

Booking Details:

• Cost: £300 for the 5 days.
• The price includes all travel, tickets, entry and activities throughout the day. The price DOES NOT cover food, water or snacks.
• Sign up multiple children in one transaction - select the number of attendees you require and fill in individual tickets with each child's information. 
• This Camp will run subject to minimum numbers.
